Triple Oxygen (Ozone) Therapy

Medical Ozone Defined

Ozone? Like the atmospheric layer that protects us from the sun’s rays? Yes, as the “ozone” layer of our Earth is made up of ozone gas, a colorless gas made up of three oxygen atoms (O3). But did you know is this gas has the medical potential to stop the growth of bacteria, boost your immune system, and disrupt unhealthy processes in your body?

Ozone gas used in ozone therapy is medical-grade that, when coming into contact with your cells, bonds easily to your cells. As a result, the ozone changes the way your cells work and helps improve your microcirculation, aiding with natural detoxification, and supporting your body’s immune system.

Conditions Treated with Ozone

  • Heart and blood vessel diseases
  • Pulmonary diseases
  • Infectious diseases
  • Immune Disorders
    Immune Disorders
  • Cancer
  • Chronic Pain
  • Migraine Headaches
  • Neurological disorders

Administering Ozone

There are several ways by which ozone can be delivered:

Infusion Therapy (IV Therapy)

We withdraw roughly 50-150 ml of blood, mix it with medical grade triple oxygen, 03 (Ozone) gas, and add it into a sterile IV bag. The process takes approximately 30 minutes and can be used in combination with other IV therapies such as:

Ozonated Saline

Ozonated saline is ozone therapy without the blood draw.  We simply infuse a saline solution with pure ozone and administer it directly through an IV drip.

UBI - Add a Little Sunshine in Your Soul

For an added boost to your immune system, help kill infections, and eliminate the bacteria and viruses in your bloodstream, we can use ozone in conjunction with ultraviolet blood irradiation. Also known as UBI and UVBI therapy.  Ultraviolet Blood Irradiation (UBI) is a process of exposing blood to ultraviolet A or C rays to stimulate the immune system. Click here for more information about UBVI, its history, and treatment applications.

The NCBI states that Ozone (O3), a gas discovered in the mid-nineteenth century, is a molecule consisting of three atoms of oxygen in a dynamically unstable structure due to the presence of mesomeric states.

Ozone therapy has been utilized and extensively studied for many decades. Its effects are proven, consistent, and with minimal side effects. Medical O3, used to disinfect and treat disease, has been around for over 150 years. Used to treat infections, wounds, and multiple diseases, O3’s effectiveness has been well-documented. It has been used to disinfect drinking water before the turn of the last century. Ozone was known to treat as many as 114 diseases.[11] Ozone therapy has been in use since the 1800s and in 1896 the genius Nikola Tesla patented the first O3 generator in the US, later forming the “Tesla Ozone Company.”[12] During the first world war (1914-18) doctors familiar with O3’s antibacterial properties, and with few other medical resources available to them applied it topically to infected wounds and discovered O3 not only remedied infection, but also had hemodynamic and anti-inflammatory properties.[13]

Inactivation of Bacteria, Viruses, Fungi, Yeast, and Protozoa

Ozone disrupts the integrity of the bacterial cell envelope through the oxidation of phospholipids and lipoproteins. In fungi, ozone inhibits cell growth at certain stages. With viruses, the ozone damages the viral capsid and disrupts the reproductive cycle by disrupting the virus-to-cell contact with peroxidation. The weak enzyme coatings on cells that make them vulnerable to invasion by viruses make them susceptible to oxidation and elimination from the body, which then replaces them with healthy cells.

Enhancement of Circulation*

In circulatory disease, a clumping of red blood cells hinders blood flow through the small capillaries and decreases oxygen absorption due to reduced surface carrying ability. Oxygenation of the tissues increases as the arterial partial pressure increases and viscosity decreases. Ozone also oxidizes the plaque in arteries, allowing the removal of the breakdown products, unclogging the blood vessels.

Stimulation of Oxygen Metabolism

Ozone causes an increase in the red blood cell glycolysis rate. This leads to the stimulation of 2,3- diphosphooglycerate (2,3-DPG) which leads to an increase in the amount of oxygen released to the tissues. There is a stimulation of the production of the enzymes which act as free radical scavengers and cell wall protectors: Glutathione peroxidase, Catalase, and Superoxide dismutase. Oxone activates the Krebs cycle by enhancing oxidative carboxylation of pyruvate, stimulating the production of ATP. Ozone also causes a significant reduction in NADH and helps to oxidize cytochrome C. Prostacyclin, a vasodilator, is also induced by ozone.

Formation of Peroxides

Ozone reacts with the unsaturated fatty acids of the lipid layer in cellular membranes, forming hydro peroxides. There is a synergistic effect with cellular-formed H202. Lipid peroxidation products include alkoxyl and peroxyl radicals, singlet oxygen, ozonides, carbonides, carbonyls, alkanes, and alkenes.

Dissolution of Malignant Tumors*

Ozone inhibits tumor metabolism, In addition, ozone oxidizes the outer lipid layer of m·alignant cells and destroys them through cell lysis. (break-down). Phagocytes produce H202 and hydroxy/ to kill bacteria and viruses. The generation of hydroxy/ by killer cells is critical to their cytotoxic capability. Ozone stimulates the conversion of L-arginine to citrulline, nitrite and nitrate by phagocytes, acting on tumors.

  • Increases active oxygen in the body
  • Cleans arteries and veins,
  • Improves peripheral circulation
  • Reduces inflammation Inactivates viruses, bacteria, yeast, fungus, and protozoans
  • Regulates the immune system
  • Purifies the blood and lymph
  • Normalizes hormone and enzyme production
  • Reduces pain, calms the nerves
  • Stops bleeding
  • Aid in the recovery from stroke damage
  • Improves brain function and memory
  • Oxidizes toxins, allowing for their excretion
  • Efficiently chelates heavy metals in combination with EDTA
  • Aids in the treatment of auto-immune diseases
  • Decreases allergic reactions

Ozone Bagging

Bagging can be used for treating a non-healing wound, infection, trauma, or rash involving an arm or leg or a finger or toe. It is non-invasive whereby the affected area is wrapped into a sealed bag allowing ozone gas to be pumped onto the affected area and tissue. The treatment is administered over 30 minutes and used for

  • Diabetic ulcers
  • Nail and skin fungal infections
  • Athlete’s foot
  • Bacterial infections
  • Wound healing

Another non-invasive method that safely blows ozone to the ear canal allowing it to penetrate the eustachian tubes and sinuses. Treatment is approximately 3-5 minutes is beneficial to:

  • Kill pathogens found within the ear canal and sinuses.
  • Improve overall circulation throughout the body.
  • Decrease sinus inflammation or infection.
  • Improve oxygen efficiency.
  • Reduce brain fog.
  • Provide relief from tinnitus, vertigo, and other related conditions.

Ozone gas is administered directly into the rectum and large intestine using specialized medical supplies that deliver the Ozone easily and painlessly over several minutes. This treatment can be performed several times per week or as needed to treat an acute or chronic condition.

Prolozone Therapy®is a regenerative medicine injection made up of ozone — a gas composed of three oxygen atoms. The solution also contains anti-inflammatory medications, vitamins, and minerals. When we inject prolozone into a painful degenerative or injured joint, the ozone and oxygen gases promote tissue regeneration.

It works in three ways. First, homeopathic anti-inflammatory medications are injected into the injured area to reduce inflammation and swelling. This leads to increased circulation. Next, the area is treated with vitamins and minerals that are critical for healing. And finally, the area is infiltrated with oxygen in the form of ozone. The result is that the tissues get what they need to heal. And as they heal, the circulation to the area is re-established, and the treatment is complete.

Cells need oxygen to survive and heal, so injecting damaged tissue with a high concentration of ozone increases the oxygen in the area and allows your body to begin healing itself. When you undergo prolozone therapy for an arthritic or damaged joint, inflammation decreases, pain decreases, and you’re able to move more easily.

Prolozone Therapy®uses ozone to stimulate growth factors in the tissue surrounding a damaged joint. Like platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections — another type of regenerative medicine — prolozone therapy stimulates new growth at a cellular level.

This enhances, or jumpstarts, your body’s natural ability to heal itself and replace damaged tissue with new, healthier tissue. When you have healthy connective tissue supporting your joints, you can move freely and without unbearable pain.

For many people, Prolozone Therapy®is an ideal alternative to invasive surgery and a long recovery period. Instead, a customized series of prolozone injections can help your joint pain subside naturally, without surgery. Prolozone Therapy®also stabilizes the treated area by helping to strengthen damaged or injured tissue.

In addition to increasing oxygen in a damaged or degenerative joint, ozone injections also act as a disinfectant. This is helpful when the underlying cause of your joint pain is the result of an infection that leads to arthritic conditions.

Some of the most common musculoskeletal problems that respond well to Prolozone Therapy®include:

  • Rotator cuff injuries
  • Knee pain
  • Carpal tunnel syndrome
  • Degenerative spinal discs
  • Plantar fasciitis
  • Sciatica
  • Tennis elbow
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Hip pain
  • Neck and back pain
  • Migraines
  • Sports injuries
  • Degenerative joint disease
  • Fibromyalgia

Prolozone therapy is aligned with the Advanced Integrative Care holistic approach to resolving your pain and helping your body heal from injury and illness. As part of our philosophy of improving your overall health and wellness, prolozone therapy can be a vital part of your healing.
